Weekend Update!

21 July 2014 1 comment
What? Is this really happening? I'm actually giving a weekend update on Monday!! Miracles never cease to exist! I have to say I love summer weekends, yes I know all weekends are awesome but there is something but summer that just makes them better. This is probably because I love summer so much. This weekend was a lovely weekend full of family, friends, laughter, happiness and sun!

This weekend I was lucky enough to be able to celebrate my friends' wedding. Myself and my friend Megan were also happy to do the hair and make up of the wedding party. Thanks for trusting us to that Natalie! Not that I'm bias but she looked so beautiful! The day was great! I got to spend the morning with the wedding party before rushing home to get myself ready for the wedding. The ceremony was lovely and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. The dinner and dance was great, the food was very good! It was a buffet of salmon, salads, beef, seafood chowder and biscuits. There was an assortment of desserts along with cupcakes. All of it was delicious! Then of course the dance was super fun! There was five of us there together from high school and we were all each others dates so it was a girls' night at the wedding and it was a lot of fun. The DJ played some great music and we danced most of the night away. Here are some pictures from Saturday.....

My hot wedding dates Andrea, Lydia, Danielle and Laura

On Sunday we headed down to my uncle Bill's cottage for some BBQ. My aunt Marjorie and uncle Paul are home for a visit so we all went there for a nice meal. I love being down on the shore and they have great spot down at the cottage. We all had a nice evening together and I got some good pictures on the beach. It was a great weekend and I hope you had a great weekend too. I will leave you with some pictures from Sunday evening.

Having a gratitude attitude....

14 July 2014 4 comments

A few weeks ago my friend Sarah asked if anyone would participate in a gratitude chain she was going to do. I jumped on board right away because I love ideas like this. I find it too often we forget to say thank you to those closest to us because we assume they know we are thankful for them but really it something we all like to hear now and again.

For this gratitude attitude Sarah had people sign up then she was going to write a letter/note to those people and include a blank note card for us to give it to someone else thanking them for whatever we wanted to thank them for. I personally love getting mail so I was excited this was all going to be done by hand. I of course love the convenience of emails and all that jazz but I love when someone takes the time to write a hand written note or letter. When I got my letter from Sarah I was so happy to get it and she wrote me a sweet note (thank you Sarah) and I started thinking about who I wanted to give my note card to! It was hard to pick one person to get this awesome note card! Sarah did a great job designing them! I did finally pick someone but I can’t say who it is because I believe they read most of my blogs and I know it didn’t get to them yet as I’m sending it out tomorrow!

Remember everyone likes to hear thank you so say it even if it is just because.

Thank you for reading my blog, I honestly appreciate it.

So I Met the Backstreet Boys....Again

07 May 2014 4 comments
A weekend update on Wednesday? Sure why not! I really meant to get this up yesterday but I was battling some major post concert blues! And lets be honest I was super tired since I didn't get much sleep on Sunday night and Monday wasn't a great day for sleep either. But anyways, on with the weekend update well more just Sunday!

On Sunday was the day I had been waiting for since like March 19th or something when the tickets went on sale for BSB. After night a restless sleep on Saturday night (yes, I was kinda excited) I got up and had to do my hair twice! Then I headed off to Halifax to finish getting ready with my friends before heading to the sound check. The friends I was with were friends I had made because of our love for Backstreet Boys and finally having all of us together to experience this was amazing. The sound check was great as always, it was always nice to be able to interact with the boys a bit before the concert and it makes me more excited for the concert. As always I had my picture taken with the boys and this year was the best one I think. They are all such sweet guys. Nick liked my shirt, finally got to meet Kevin and they all smell amazing!

The concert was frickin' amazing! These boys know how to put on a show and the place was packed! It always normally a well sold show but on Sunday it was basically sold out! People were up in the nosebleed section all the way in the back. It was great to see this even though there was fans there who didn't know much of their new stuff but still AMAZING show. They did a good mix of their oldies and new ones. I love that they still dance and they are good! I also like that they sing and you can tell they are singing because you can hear that they are out of breath. If I wanted to listen to perfect vocals I would just listen to the album. I'm there to be entertained and the Backstreet Boys never disappoint when it comes to entertaining the crowd. I should stop rambling about how awesome the concert was because I could do it for hours and hours which would make for one long post and I have more to tell you about the night!

After the concert there was an after party. We decided to go a few days before even though the last one we went to was kind of crappy. You couldn't even really see the boys. This time they had it at the Marquee Club which isn't always open so it was just fans there and there was a stage for the boys to be on. It was a lot of fun. The boys seemed to having a great time and Nick did a great job DJ'ing. The bonus part of this night I got to get more pictures with the guys. Brian wasn't there and Nick didn't come off the stage because he was DJ'ing but I was lucky enough to get my picture with Kevin, Howie and AJ. I love these guys!

The night was amazing and I got to share it with some great people! I can't wait until I get to do it again! Hopefully sooner then last time. Since I don't have my pictures on this computer I'm just going to leave you my picture from sound check! If you want to see more feel free to let me know or add me on Facebook or Instagram :)

Monday Monday....

28 April 2014 6 comments
Well, getting back into blogging isn't as easy as I hoped it was going to be! I really don't have any ideas of what I want to blog about! But we are going to power through this and we are going to blog today!

....chirp.....chirp....

Hmmm....Okay, I can tell you what I'm excited about for this coming weekend! On Sunday I heading up to Halifax to see some of favorite people and going to see the Backstreet Boys! Yup, if you read this blog you know this girl right here is a Backstreet Girl and will be one forever. I have to say I'm most excited about finally seeing them as 5! The one time I did see them when they were still 5, AJ had hurt his foot and only came out for one song so that doesn't really count but now it will be glorious with all five! And to top it off I might have gotten a VIP so I'm going to meet KEVIN!! He was never my favorite but man I'm excited to finally meet him. I'm so excited to seeing my friends because I haven't seen as much I would like to because of school I wasn't in Halifax as much. It is going to be a great night for sure! Throwback to the last time I met them! :) Poor AJ had a scatch on his cornea.

I have to say I'm really lost without having to go to school! I'm happy to have the break but man I just don't know what to do with myself yet! I'm sure it will come! I also miss the girls! It is weird going from seeing someone Monday to Friday to not seeing them until September! Though I'm sure we will have a few gatherings over the summer.

Alright, this is a terrible blog but I honestly I have got nothing! Better tomorrow promise xo

Christmas Countdown Day 11! Memories

23 December 2013 No comments
TWO DAYS! I'm so excited for Christmas. I have everything done and I'm ready for everything. Today, I thought I would share some of my favorite holiday memories.

I have so many amazing memories from past holidays I don't even know where to start. My parents always have made Christmas a special time, I can't remember a Christmas that was not amazing. You know some our traditions from my Friday post and those traditions have made for some amazing memories.

One of my favorite memories is when myself and my siblings would all sleep in my room and this was not even that many years ago. We would all cozy up in my room and watch a Christmas and fall asleep. It was fun to all wake up together on Christmas day.

I also love the memories from when I was kid and we had to wait until mom and dad went downstairs got the Christmas lights on and Dad got the video camera going. We waited at the top of the stairs until we got the go ahead to come down and Chase when he was little would always bolt down and be so excited. Sometimes, I wish I could be a kid again just for those moments.

Another Christmas memory is from Boxing Day when we would all go to our grandparents house for dinner with my dad's side of the family. We would get to bring one or two of our new toys to bring with us (until we were too old for toys). We always had a kids' table too! I think on my dad's side we will always have a kids' table. My cousin Lauren who is the oldest on my dad's side joked she would be 40 and still at the kids' table. Though she was joking I don't think she is going to be wrong.

I love all the memories and old stories that come up at Christmas time. It makes you remember what Christmas is all about, the time spent with your family and friends. It is the memories made not the presents your tree. What are your favorite Christmas memories?

I cannot believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! YAY!!

This weekend....

Yes, don't have a heart attack but I'm back posting on a regular basis! WHOOP WHOOP! I know you are all loving that already! I haven't planned out what I will posting about this week yet but I do know I will be posting and that I have a GREAT guest post for you on Thursday. Be excited because it is awesome and she is awesome for doing it.

Anyways, lets get back to the weekend. I did have a great busy weekend, I hope all my American friends had a nice turkey dinner at some point. American Thanksgiving always makes me miss our Thanksgiving but I did have a nice chicken dinner on Tuesday so it wasn't too bad. On Friday, I had a crazy day. I was running around trying to clean, finish a couple of crafts and pack before I left for Halifax for the night. I actually did get everything done and had a bit of time to relax before I left. I would have gotten to relax but I got super exciting news. A few weeks ago I applied for Cosmetology school and on Friday I got my acceptance letter! It is going to be a bit of a crazy time for me since it is the Christmas season and now I have to get myself ready for school again! I'm totally excited for it but still a little nervous because I haven't been in school for a few years now! I think it is going to be awesome and thanks to everyone who I have already talked to about it and for your congrats. That news really made my day because I was a little worried the program was already filled. So YAY *happy dance* Once I got settled down and Erica got home we headed off to Halifax. There was Black Friday Sales at the Mic Mac Mall so we headed there first and we did get some good deals which was nice and the mall when we went wasn't too crazy busy. After that we headed into the city to drop Chase off at his place because he had a exam to finish studying for and we were meeting up with some friends for dinner. We met up with our friends at Montana's for dinner around 8pm and had a great meal with great company. I mentioned I was finishing up some crafts earlier and one of them was a scrapbooking album for one of the couples I was having dinner with so I wanted to give it to them when we were all together. They loved it which made me very happy because I loved making it for them and I knew they would appreciate it. I also gave my friend Deena a wreath for her belated birthday gift since I didn't have my act together when we had dinner together for our birthdays. After we parted ways from Montana's, Erica and myself headed to Target to see if we get in some last minute shopping for the day. We did pick up a few more Christmas gifts and then we grabbed some Starbucks and headed to the hotel. We passed out pretty quickly because we had long busy day.

Saturday was a day of shopping! But I got pretty much all of my Christmas shopping done so I don't have any complaints! Well one, people need to remember to take their brain with them shopping! Honestly some people need a slap! One man was hardly watching his toddler, he was on his phone and I'm sure the mother was off doing the shopping. After we finished shopping we picked Chase and headed for some dinner at Jack Astor's. After that long we drove home and I basically crashed! I guess I'm getting old when a full day of shopping makes me so tried haha

Sunday, I went to lunch with my friends for one of our friend's birthday. It was nice to catch up with the girls because I hadn't seen them in far too long. After lunch I really wasn't so productive for the rest of the day but what can you do. I did have a nap and I did sort my Christmas gifts and the laundry.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you again tomorrow :)

xoxo

Weekend Update!

04 November 2013 No comments
Monday again! I have been 30 for a whole week now! I have to say nothing feels different so I have dealt with the big 3-0 pretty well I think. This weekend was also the wrap up of my birthday celebrations! Lets go back to beginning of the weekend though.

On Friday, I just chilled because I wasn't feeling great from getting my flu shot earlier in the week and I was going to Halifax the next day so laying low for the night was a great plan. On Saturday, Erica and myself headed off to Halifax to go to Christmas at the Forum as it has become a bit of a tradition. We did some shopping around the city before heading to the Forum. We meet up with Tiana, Deena and Gavin. We normally have Danielle with us but she was sick :( Stupid cold! We were also missing Meghan and Melissa! Next year, we are all going together girls! Though it is always crazy busy and I rarely buy anything I love going and walking around, which if you knew me and how I normally hate crowds, this would come as a surprise to you. It is like the kick off for the holidays though. You have to love it! After, we toured around the forum and got Tiana's grandma a firefighters' calendar. Yes that kind of calendar haha We all went to dinner at Boston Pizza and had a nice catch up. We didn't leave until 10pm to drive home. But it was a lovely day in the city so it was all worth it.

Sunday, I slept in and loved having an extra hour of sleep because of the time change! Mind you I don't like the time change when it is dark at 5:15pm in the evening! But it is nice in the morning for sure! Anyways, it was time for my birthday lunch with my lovely ladies! We just went to Pizza Delight and had a wonderful visit with each other. Always nice to get out with the girls and just have a good chat with each other. After lunch I ran some errands and then watched some curling! Another reason to love the fall and winter, it is curling season. Hockey and curling are my sports!

It was great weekend. I have had some great weekends the last two weekends and this weekend coming up is a long weekend and my brother is going to home from school. I hope you all had a great weekend! Must go and check my soup now! Hopefully it turns out and I can tell you all about it!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Weekend Update!

23 September 2013 1 comment
Ready for the weekend baby! Oh wait it is Monday! How did that happen? This weekend flew by! And yup you got it right not one picture to show for it! I did take some pictures of some stuff I bought yesterday for instagram so you can check them out on the sidebar. I really need to get better at my weekend picture taking. And, yes I know I say that a lot!

Anyways, lets get back to my weekend! Friday, I went to see Prisoners with my family because my brother was home and we talked him into going to the movies! This is probably because none of his friends were home! Just kidding he likes spending some time with us. It was a nice evening out with everyone. The movie was good but I have to say it was long too long for me. I did like it but they honestly didn't have to make it 2.5 hour movie! Great acting in the movie though! On Saturday Erica, Chase and myself voted before we headed to Halifax to take Chase back and so we could check out Target, since it just opened on Tuesday. I got the cutest slippers from Target and they were only like $12. I could have gotten a lot more but I decided to hold back. The only thing I'm sad about is that they don't have ELF. I was looking forward to being able to get more ELF make up brushes since the ones I have are quite nice and totally doing the trick. We got to spend a nice afternoon with Chase shopping before dropping him off at his apartment. After that we went and did a bit more shopping and then headed off to dinner with my friends Danielle, Deena and Gavin. Erica's friend Johnny also joined us for dinner at Jack Astor's. It was great meeting up with them because I hadn't seen them since Danielle's wedding in August. Good food and good company! That can't help but be a good night! After dinner, me and Erica hit up Starbucks before heading back home.

First official day of fall and it basically felt like summer for most of the day! We decided to clean out Erica's car like cleaning it out, vacummed and taken to the car wash! It is all nice and shiny now! Other than that I didn't do much I have to say! I was being lazy and I liked it! haha I did watch the Emmys and I will have a Emmys' fashion post for you tomorrow.

I'm going to wrap this up now because I will just be rambling even more if I don't stop now. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Weekend Update!

26 August 2013 No comments
Can we for one second talk about the fact this is the last Monday in August!? When did this happen? Where did this month go!? Honestly, it feels like last week I was getting ready for Jubilee and Danielle & Anthony's wedding! And I'm more sad that means summer is almost over! Summer is my favorite so I'm kinda bummed but that just means Christmas is around the corner and we all know how much I love Christmas!!

Okay, so this weekend wasn't eventful at all! I have to say I didn't mind because most weekend this summer have been jammed packed! On Friday, I went and got my brow did! Man, is there anything better than having your brows freshly done!? I love it! Then I had a little play date with my friend Danielle and her little one Quinn! I could eat Quinn up she is so freaking cute! On Friday night I ended up going to dinner with my parents and my aunt Bev and uncle Bill at Hebels'. It was lovely! The meal was fantastic as always! It was also nice to have a meal with my uncle and aunt because we haven't been able to do it much this summer. Saturday I was totally boring! I stayed in bed until late morning watching Criminal Minds and then Good Luck Charlie! Yup, that is what you get when you're almost 30 and still like the Disney channel haha Then I cleaned the house and laundry for most of the day. I also got caught up on my Real Housewives of the OC! We are finally starting the reunion episodes this week I think! I can't wait! Sunday, total lazy around the house kind of day because I finished what I needed to do on Saturday!

So, that right there in a nutshell was my weekend! Hope you all had a nice weekend too :)

Today we are getting real.

15 August 2013 11 comments
Okay last night on Twitter I said I was getting real on the blog today because I don't often get overly real on my blog! I normally like to keep things light and fluffy but today my kind friends were going deep! I have to say unless you're a member of my family or someone close to me you probably have not heard this story in full. I know I have mentioned it before because I have done lists of facts about me but telling the whole story doesn't come easy for me because I have to say it was the scariest time in my life.

I was told I had cancer. I was told I would probably need chemo to shrink the tumor before I could have surgery to remove it.

Now, lets back up to the beginning of this story. My sugars were messed up and that is a sign of PCOS (if you don't know what that is look it up because I don't feel like explaining it) and my sister has it so my doctor decided to have me checked for it. I first went for a vacation to Dominican because I was like I know I don't have it because that was the only sympton I had that could be linked to PCOS. When we came back from vacation, I went for my ultrasound to see if there were anything on my ovaries. The tech who did it was lovely but of course couldn't tell me anything. I went to see the doctor and I was then scheduled for a CT scan...Okay I have to admit I was little freaked out because I was thinking well they must have found something. I was told they just wanted to double check things. Having a CT scan is freaking weird! You hooked up to an IV thing so you glow inside and whatever it is in the IV is makes you feel like you wet yourself! Yup, not the most pleasant thing. When I went to my doctor to get the result of course my momma came with me but my doctor hadn't listened to the report yet so he quickly listened to it when we were there on phone so we couldn't hear anything. When he was finished, he again picked up the phone and called a specialist, it was end of the day so he was hoping the receptionist was still there. She was and my doctor proceeded to her I needed an appt with the doctor as soon as possible, she told him something and he said no, do you have anything tomorrow. Now, I'm freaking out because why do I need to have an appt with the gyno specialist so soon!? Since my doctor isn't a specialist he basically said hope for the best but prepare for the worst. So could be nothing or could be cancer. This all is happening right before we are getting ready to leave for Erica's graduation. I won't lie it was a restless night. Next day myself and my momma are sitting in another waiting room waiting to see the specialist, he told us there was mass/tumor attached to my ovary that was about the size of grapefruit, before it could be removed it would need to be shrunk a bit. This meant a round or two of chemo. He said things would be okay and explained everything we asked about. I was hoping he would do my surgery since he was family friend but I was being sent to Halifax. I was off for more blood work before going home so it could be spent to the specialist in Halifax. The woman who took my blood, who wasn't much older than me told me she was a cancer survivor and I would be fine. This woman made me feel so much better. On the way home, my mom and myself talked about everything and it was decided I would get one damn great wig if I needed chemo. When we got home, Erica was taking off for her weekend celebration with friends before her graduation on Monday. I have to say I felt awful all this happening when we all should have been celebrating her accomplishments at university.

It was long weekend for us but we had a nice day on Monday at Erica's graduation and when we got home we had good news, the gyno specialist (family friend) called and said my blood work came back excellent. Any bit of good news right now was amazing! On Wednesday I was headed to Halifax to meet with surgeon/specialist who would be looking after me. She was my shining star! She didn't want to say for sure but she didn't think I had cancer! She didn't mention chemo and didn't mention anything bad! She said yes you have a mass in there but it just doesn't look like cancer to me. Even though it wasn't for sure it was like a weight had been lifted off me. She booked me for surgery in two weeks and we headed home feeling much better than we had coming up. The next Wednesday I had my pre-op and the next Wednesday I had my surgery. If you want to feel like you're 1000 years old when you're 25 have your stomach cut open! Walking is not your friend. To be honest other then laying on your back nothing is your friend. The nurses and doctors I had were honestly amazing! There was one nurse, she had a unique name so I can't even try to spell it but I don't think I would have been able to make it through a couple of nights without her, mainly because morphine made me an emotional wreck! My parents and aunt Mary were with me the day of my surgery, Dad went home at the end of the day and momma and Mary stayed with me. Dad was coming back on Friday because they said I would be released on Saturday or Sunday if everything went well. Everything was going really well but I wasn't on the right floor since we requested a private room so when my star doctor came in she said sorry but I was being moved. In the end they was probably for the best because the nurses on the floor I was moved too were better at taking care of me because they dealt with my kind of surgery more. They also gave me morphine every four hours instead of when I asked for it. They didn't want the pain to get ahead of me which was great but this turned me into a crying fool. I cried when Mary had to leave to go home even though mom was with me and dad was back on his way. But all in all everything was great and I got to go home on Saturday!

It was a good 4 weeks before I could most things, getting up and down stairs was awful for most of that time but they said it was good for me to move around. Doing even small things for the first 6 weeks tired me out so much having a shower required a nap after it. But everything was worth it when Dr Rittenburg called me to tell me there was no cancer! It was my ovary that had torn off and had blown up like a balloon! So, now I'm down an ovary and have a 10 inch scar from my belly button down.

I don't know how some people deal with their illnesses with such courage but I'm in awe of them because I don't know what I would have done if that call had of been different. My world crashed when I thought I might have cancer but it was quickly pulled back up with the knowledge and support of my wonderful specialist in Halifax and all the people around me. My family was amazing through everything. Friends were great (especially Nathan who came to visit me in the hospital). The most thanks goes to my momma who was there every minute, the one who took care me when I couldn't do most things for myself, the one who took the brute of my frustations because I couldn't do anything for myself, love you mom! xo

Okay, I'm gonna end this now because it is the longest blog I have ever written! Remember to smile and don't take anything for granted! Love you all and have a cookie if you made it through this whole post!

Weekend Shenanigans! (day late oops!)

30 July 2013 2 comments

Monday....or Tuesday means another Weekend Update! This weekend was pretty good, no complaints from me!

Friday, was chill just hung out and blogged about Rivals! I hope next week is better. I don't know I think I miss more of the vets because I don't really know the rookies. It was also hella muggy on Friday! Really wish I had AC during days like that! Saturday, weather not as muggy YAY! but overcast for the day which isn't great but at least it wasn't raining. I went to lunch with my friends Andrea and Lydia plus Andrea's little boy Riley. He is just too cute. Lydia was home from Toronto to shoot a wedding so it was nice to be able to see her even though it was just for lunch. Normally, she is here and gone!

Sunday was a lazy day because the weather wasn't great and I had a few things to get ready for Monday. I ran and did some errands before dinner since me and Erica deiced to try the new place in Pictou which was quite yummy. I'm looking forward to going again sometime. I got their wings and they were delish! Erica got the buffalo chicken sandwich and she said it was quite good too. After that we got some ice cream and then headed down to our uncle's cottage to see some of our family that was home from Ontario. We had nice visit with them before we headed home. I had to get my clothes ready and everything because I was heading to Halifax in the morning for a wedding! Yes, a Monday wedding!

On Monday moring my friend Andrea picked me up and we were off to Halifax to see one of our friends get hitched! We had only learned two weeks before that she was getting married but it was a lovely wedding. Also, I got to get some candles at Bath and Body Works. I have been wanting the London Calling candle for awhile now and I finally was able to get it and I actually got two because they were on sale! I'm going to Halifax on Saturday for another wedding and now my momma wants me to get her one too. Smells just like tea and lemon! Now onto some pictures!

Me and the Beautiful bride!

Me and the Handsome groom!
Have to say he had this grin on the whole day! So sweet!

Mr.Riley!

The newlyweds

Some of my favorite ladies!

This Weekend I....My Weekend Shenanigans!

22 July 2013 2 comments

It is Monday again! The days are flying by of course because it is summer and the weather has been pretty awesome! Yes, it is has been a little on the too hot side but I would rather be talking about the heat in the summer then it not being hot enough! Can't win anyways because when it is cold we complain and when it is hot we complain! haha

Anyways, I'm starting this post with Thursday because I went and had lunch with my lovely cousin Amy and her little guy Cameron! I hadn't seen in them in far too long so it was nice to sit and catch up with her. Cameron was pretty good too and didn't make too much of a fuss until momma was done her lunch and really that is all you can ask for in an almost 8 month old! Also, I was puppy sitting for Belle on Thursday! What a stinkin little cutie she is! Makes me miss having a puppy! Well kinda it is too much like having a baby for the first little bit haha!

On Friday, I also went to lunch with my friends Danielle and Laura. Laura is living out west right and just home visiting so had to get a lunch in and Danielle's birthday had just past so it was a celebration lunch! We went to Hebel's for lunch and it was lovely as always! I had tomato and basil soup with feta and holy it was amazing!! After lunch we went to see one of my favorite little munchkins Quinn! Then we headed to the mall because Laura needed to pick up a couple of shirts. It was a lovely day with some of my favorite girls. For dinner Erica and myself just picked up some chinese food since we were both tired and didn't feel like cooking anything.

Saturday was a pool day because it was super hot but luckily there was a breeze! So, I spent my day in the pool! We also took the dogs for ice cream! haha There is a doggie delight option and I have to say our dogs loved it! They even top it off with a milk bone! Sorry I forgot to get a picture of that! And you could hardly see what was going on because the boys were just head down and eating away! I did remember to get one of Jagger when we had to fix his hair because it was failing in his eyes when he wouldn't stay out the pool! And I'm just gonna throw Sunday in here too because it was another pool day for me! Had a nice dinner with the family and headed down to Mary's because I'm puppy sitting until Tuesday!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Happy Monday and remember to smile :) Makes you prettier! xo

20 Years and Counting

I know some of you will not care about this but I wanted to post something about the 20 year Anniversary for the Backstreet Boys because I have been a fan since I was 12/13 and I will be 30 this year. I have had the opportunity to see them in concert, meet them and I have never been disappointed. They are true performers and lovely men. They all have a way of making you feel like you're the only one in the room when meeting them and make you feel appreciated as a fan. Not only have they helped create many great memories in my life but they have bought me to some of the best friends I could have asked for.

So to end this quick little post Congrats to the Backstreet Boys on 20 years and counting, Thank You for the memories and the friends!

Okay so the other day I saw that Whitney was going to do a link up and of course I was going to get in on it so here we are on Tuesday doing the Facts of Me! If you want to check out Whitney's blog (which you really should do) click on the graphic below or check out my side bar. Here is hoping you learn a little bit more about me today....at least that the point of this blog post/link up :)

-i had a cancer scare back in 2009, I was told I would need chemo before they could remove the tumor which was the size of a grape fruit, turns out it wasn't cancer (YAY) but my ovary tore itself off my fallopian  tube, exploded and just kinda hung out in my body. Doctor said I must be Superwoman because the pain I would have been in when it happened would have been insane! Oddly enough I do remember now when I think it happened and it was almost 10 years before, so I guess I have a high pain tolerance!
