Getting There....

Well this whole back to blogging thing is coming slowly but it is coming! I do want to blog but I'm having a hard time stringing the words together how I like them! Which in blogging/writing can cause quite the problem! But alas we will power through this and get back to normal as soon as possible!

I'm in my final two days of being 31....as of Wednesday morning I will be 32! I honestly don't care about aging because it happens and you can't fight it! Well some people try to and we can all tell who they are! I can say my life is not where I thought it would be when I turned 32 but I'm very happy and I know everything happens for a reason. If other plans had of worked out I would be doing what I love and my life would be very different. For my birthday, we having a family dinner on Wednesday and then on Friday myself and my momma are going to see from the curling Masters in Truro. I'm rather excited because I haven't been to a curling event in a long time, should be a really good time. Then on Sunday again with my momma I'm going to see Travis Tritt and I can't wait! It is going to be such a good time! I have loved Travis Tritt since I was a little girl. It is great getting to go with my mom too because she is really the reason I listened to him in the first place. Plus, she had a lot to do with my birthday so nice to share this stuff with her :)

Also, today I'm linking up with Meghan and Biana for Weekending with....I have to say I didn't have the most exciting weekend! But, I will give you the details anyways! On Saturday I had to work until lunch time. I did my sister's hair and one of my cousin's came in for blow out. Then, I went to lunch with Erica (sister for those who don't know) and I had a lovely greek salad! I'm not sure how you could go wrong when you have feta cheese on something! So yummy! After that I came home and chilled and honestly did nothing for the rest of the evening! I told you my weekend wasn't exciting! On Sunday I helped get my dad ready to leave for up north again. He will be working up there again until maybe mid December. If any of you have kids and need to get Santa their letters we can ship to my dad and he can deliver them! Yes he is almost that far up north! Erica and my mom took him to the airport so I had dinner and hung out with Chase (my brother) for the evening. I don't think I need to include today since I cleaned and did laundry! But honestly Monday are my Sundays because I don't work on Mondays. Sadly they never really feel like Sundays but I will take it!

Weekend Update!

Monday again! I have been 30 for a whole week now! I have to say nothing feels different so I have dealt with the big 3-0 pretty well I think. This weekend was also the wrap up of my birthday celebrations! Lets go back to beginning of the weekend though.

On Friday, I just chilled because I wasn't feeling great from getting my flu shot earlier in the week and I was going to Halifax the next day so laying low for the night was a great plan. On Saturday, Erica and myself headed off to Halifax to go to Christmas at the Forum as it has become a bit of a tradition. We did some shopping around the city before heading to the Forum. We meet up with Tiana, Deena and Gavin. We normally have Danielle with us but she was sick :( Stupid cold! We were also missing Meghan and Melissa! Next year, we are all going together girls! Though it is always crazy busy and I rarely buy anything I love going and walking around, which if you knew me and how I normally hate crowds, this would come as a surprise to you. It is like the kick off for the holidays though. You have to love it! After, we toured around the forum and got Tiana's grandma a firefighters' calendar. Yes that kind of calendar haha We all went to dinner at Boston Pizza and had a nice catch up. We didn't leave until 10pm to drive home. But it was a lovely day in the city so it was all worth it.

Sunday, I slept in and loved having an extra hour of sleep because of the time change! Mind you I don't like the time change when it is dark at 5:15pm in the evening! But it is nice in the morning for sure! Anyways, it was time for my birthday lunch with my lovely ladies! We just went to Pizza Delight and had a wonderful visit with each other. Always nice to get out with the girls and just have a good chat with each other. After lunch I ran some errands and then watched some curling! Another reason to love the fall and winter, it is curling season. Hockey and curling are my sports! 

It was great weekend. I have had some great weekends the last two weekends and this weekend coming up is a long weekend and my brother is going to home from school. I hope you all had a great weekend! Must go and check my soup now! Hopefully it turns out and I can tell you all about it!

And time for Weekend Update!

Happy Monday everyone! It is a beautiful day here the sun is shining so I really have no complaints for this Monday! I hope you all a great weekend I know I did and since this is a weekend update post I should tell you why!

This weekend wasn't a busy one just a nice chill weekend. On Saturday, I did some errands since there was some sales on at Walmart mainly flour for $10. It is basically the best deal on flour right now. Then Erica and myself decided to take the poopies to the beach! It was so nice down there. The tide was going out, the sky was blue and sand was warm!! This was nice because the breeze well really wind wasn't so warm. The water wasn't even that cold. The dogs had a great time. They were so tired for the rest of the day and night! Saturday night myself, Erica and our mom went to see the Right Kind of Wrong, it was a cute movie but nothing great. I want to see Captain Philips next time and I think we might go tomorrow just to go to the movies one last time before Empire Theaters is no longer. I hear it is really good. Also, if you're reading this and are in New Glasgow go to the movies tomorrow! Empire Theatres are donating 50% of the profits from tomorrow night to the Scott Jones Fund. 

Sunday, I did some housework yup that is as boring as it sounds! haha But after I was done I went to visit my best friend Danielle and her little girl Quinn. It was great visiting because we hadn't had a play date in far too long! Though it ended up being more of a date with me and Danielle because Quinn decided she was going to nap most of the time I was there! Totally not her normally but I guess a lazy Sunday can go for a one year too! 

And now it is Monday again! Time flies when you're having fun. I hoping to have a great weekend this coming weekend because I'm going to Halifax! Having a joint birthday dinner with my lovely girls, doing a little shopping and just going to enjoy staying at a hotel!

Weekend Update!

This weekend was the long weekend in Canada and well it wasn't the best one because it was freakin' cold here! It actually snowed on Saturday! Well it was just big wet flakes but there was still snow in the air! So, the weather could have been much better to say the least! Normally for the long weekend we are lounging by the pool so not cool Mother Nature no cool! 

Anyways, lets see what I did this weekend which I have to say wasn't all that much because my tummy wasn't having much of anything! But it wasn't a total bust of a weekend, I had a little boy's birthday party to attend! My little man Riley was one on Friday! I can't believe a year has passed! Honestly sometimes it feels like yesterday that Andrea was still preggers! We must be getting old! The party was fun! Lots of little ones running/crawling around having fun, good snacks and BBQ'ed hot dogs! The party was jungle themed and was very cute! The cake was adorable! Riley seemed to love all his presents especially the big truck which got his attention and he didn't really care about the other gifts after that! He is for sure a boy's boy! Thanks to Andrea and Mike for having a great little party even though it was a tad cold! 

After the party I came home and had a nap even though I didn't mean too! Cloudy blah day it was bound to happen when I laid down even if I didn't want it to! Later, that night I watched Hope Floats (which I love! Sandra and Harry melt my heart) and went to bed early because I wasn't feeling great! On Sunday, I headed to the movies with Erica and Katie to see the Great Gatsby which was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed myself and really Leonardo DiCaprio can't do wrong in my eyes! I have loved him since I was like 9 so that is 20 years people! He makes my heart flutter! And Sunday was also game day for the Ottawa Senators and boy was it a good game! We tied the game with 30 second left in the final period and then won in double overtime! I almost had a heart attack but we did it!! Love my boys!

And today, I have been lazy again I won't lie! I laid around watching TV or YouTube most of the day but I really didn't have anything to do so why not be lazy! I'm totally late with blogging today too because I was trying to do it earlier but sadly my internet didn't feel like working for an hour or so! But we are here now so lets just be happy it is working again and I will hopefully get some more blogs in order before I go to bed tonight.
