Beauty Review: Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation

12 September 2016 No comments

Unless you have been living under a rock you have probably heard about the new Urban Decay foundation (also yes I only really mean the make up lover not everyone will have heard about this!). I have to say as soon as I heard about this I wanted it because I love me a good matte foundation which I have to say I haven't found that many great ones. For my skin type being on the oily side I don't need anything that is dewy because that normally just makes me look like an oil slick. When I was in Sephora couple of weeks ago I decided to get a sample because it is not cheap foundation so I decided just in case I did not like I would go with a sample to start, so here are my thoughts...

It is FULL COVERAGE! You do not to build this foundation up, if you do you're going to look like you have a cake face and no one wants that. Now, because it is so full coverage make sure you take the time to actually find your correct shade, get one the reps to help if you're having a hard time. Also, know this foundation oxizides meaning it is going to go a bit darker. Keep this in mind when you are choosing your shade. Right now because I have a tan I ended up with shade 4.5 but I think maybe 4 would be better when I'm not tanned. It is actually a totally matte foundation but it isn't flat which is good because you do not want that. It is oil free which I love too because again I do not need anymore oil in my t zone!

For application it is a thicker consistency and I have found that I like using a brush better than a beauty blender/sponge. I just like that is seems to go on more flawlessly with the brush. I did have enough in the sample to get 3 uses so I did try both ways. I will say I do pat a damp beauty blender over my face once I have finished with the brush to give the finish a more air brushed look. I think it blends well and goes on smoothly.

The wear ability of this foundation is great. I do not find it heavy or cakey feeling which was something I was worried about especially with it being full coverage and matte. I love the fact that I honestly do not have to powder a lot through out the day. I probably powered once all day and normally I do it a lot more especially in the summer months. It is really matte and it keeps me matte!

Ladies and Gents, if your type is dry I do not believe you're going to like this at all. Also, if you have a lot of texture on your skin you also might dislike this. If you're like me and are on the oily side I think you should try this! It is a very nice product!

It is $49.00 Canadian at Sephora which yes it is on the pricey side but I like it enough that it will be my next higher end foundation buy. If you're not looking to spend that much Nicole Guerriero says that L'OrĂ©al's Infallible foundation is a close dupe. I think I might check it out too or if you have what are your thoughts on it?

Have you tried this foundation yet? Are you loving it if you did and if not why? Let a girl know!

Beauty Wednesday....School Update

26 November 2014 1 comment
Since I haven't posted in awhile about school I decided to give just a little update on what I have been doing. I could have a lot more pictures but I figured these were enough for now. I have started color in school and it is so much fun! We have been doing it for a bit now since October really, we started with just straight colors and now we are doing foiling too which I have done a lot of! Seems when I have color clients in they always want foils! I'm not complaining because it is great practice but man I haven't gotten to do a retouch yet or a full head of color! I do like doing the foils though. We have also been working on updos which is so much fun. I have been doing a few outside school as well because I have been posting my work on facebook and people are interested! Makes it feel so real since I will be able to do all of this in May at a real salon! I can't wait for graduation even though I will miss my class and everything it will be nice to be out on my own!

These up dos were done awhile ago and I have been doing more on my friends and family. It is way more fun to work on real heads!

Hope you're all having a great week! xo

Beauty Wednesday!

01 October 2014 1 comment
Did you miss Beauty Wednesday? I finally decided on a topic and got around to blogging about something beauty related! I know miracles still happen ;) Today I want to talk about two of my new favorite products! One I have already picked up another one and one I have wanted to try for a long time. Both are MAC products and I love them!

MAC Pigment in Vanilla
Zoom Fast Black Lash

These are my new favorite things! If I did monthly favorites these would be on the top of the list. I'm a sucker for mascara and a long time ago Zoella mentioned this vanilla pigment from MAC which I have wanted to try every since! When I was up in Halifax on Saturday I of course had to duck into MAC because it just always happens okay! I did pick up some eye shadows which I will hopefully share next week! MAC has a nice little section right now of mini versions of a number of their products and when I was there last month I picked up the above mascara because I wanted to try it and honestly I needed a new one  since the last one I got I didn't like! I decided not to get the pigment that day but knew I would probably be picking it up someday soon.

If you can't guess I ended up loving the mascara! It makes my lashes look amazing! It is a wet formula which I wasn't sure when I started using since I normally don't like a very wet mascara but this one had me at the first application. I do have nice lashes to start but this mascara just makes them come alive! It lenghtens, separates and just does everything a good mascara should. I should have taken before and after photos but I forgot so just trust me on this!

The vanilla pigment is the best brow highlight I have ever tried! It is the perfect amount of shimmer and highlight without being in your face! I also love using it for my inner eye highlight. I have wanted this for over a year I would say but couldn't bring myself to spend over $20 on a pigment since I really don't use them that much so when I saw the mini version I knew I would have to pick it up at some point. I finally caved on Saturday and I'm so happy I did because I have used it everyday since and I'm planning on using it everyday I have make up on! I highly recommend this pigment! It also makes me want to try more MAC pigment.

What are your new favorite products? I love hearing about new products!

Tag It Thursday

15 May 2014 2 comments
A few days ago I was watching Fleur's latest beauty video and it was the Lip Product Addict Tag and well the first step is admitting your problem right. I love me some lip products so I figured this was the perfect tag for me to do! I tag everyone who reads this! Leave me a link if you do this tag so I can check out your answers!

QUESTIONS:

1. Favourite balm/treatment? My favorite quick and easy balm/treatment is the Vaseline Lip Therapy!

2. Best eye-catching red? My favorite red right now is Rimmel's Kate 107...I picked it up probably around this time last year on the recommendation from Zoella and I loved it! It isn't in your face bright red but it is amazing! When I go for in your face bright I normally go for pink like Candy Yum Yum by MAC

3. Best luxury & best drugstore? Gosh I don't think I have best luxury lipstick because I really haven't tried any but I LOVE Rimmel's Kate lipsticks so that would be my best drugstore.

4. Best MAC lipstick? Syrup or Girl About Town

5. The most disappointing? Color Caresse Shine Stain is the only one that comes to mind but I wasn't overly disappointed in it I just didn't like it all that much and I think it was the color more than anything else.

6. Liner - yes or no? Rarely! I always forget it!

7. Best gloss? Hmmmmm I really love MAC's glosses

8. Something extra! Just wanted to add don't forgot to scrub your lips! You can make your own scrub or Lush has some great ones! I have Mint Julip and it is my favorite. Keep your lips nice and soft :)

Beauty Wednesday: Tips and Tricks!

14 May 2014 2 comments
Happy Hump Day Everyone! I have to say I don't find this week going as fast as last week and honestly that is okay with me. I think last week went so far because I was recovering from Backstreet Boys! This week I figured I would bring back Beauty Wednesday since I know a lot of you really like it!

Since most everyone loves knowing beauty tips and tricks I decided to give you a few of mine! I'm sure some of you know them but I figured I would give my top 10 tips and tricks!

Beauty Tricks by Brittany

1. Do your eye make-up first then it is easier to clean up any fall out or edges with your foundation

2. Hairspray your bobby pins! They won't move! They probably should make sticky bobby pins but they don't.

3. Use conditioner as your shaving cream! Not expensive stuff ladies!

4. Clear mascara to keep your eye brows in place!

5. Static hair? Run a dryer sheet over it! Or if you don't have one but you have your hand cream use just a bit in your hands then run them over your hair.

6. Want your lipstick to last all day? Put your lipstick on then put a tissue on your lips and brush on some translucent powder.

7. Avoid lipstick on your teeth by putting your finger in your mouth and then pulling it out, the excess lipstick should be on your finger instead of your teeth.

8. Have a special event coming up but the weather is going to hot and you might sweat? After your primer rub some gel anti-perspirant on the areas of your face where you might sweat!

9. Keep your perfume from fading away too quickly....place it on pressure points because they give off heat and will keep releasing the fragrance of your perfume!

10. Bobby pins should be worn with the wavy side down!

Hope you're all having a great week!

Beauty Wednesday! Just Some Quick Tips!

26 February 2014 No comments
Hey Ladies! I'm here for a quick Beauty Wednesday! I know I wanted to have one last week but I just didn't have time and honestly I don't really have time now but I'm making some!

Today, I just wanted to give you a couple of quick make up tips! So lets go...

Your concealer should be the exact same color as your foundation! If it is lighter or darker and you're trying to cover something it just draw attention to it!

Your under eye concealer however should be a shade or two lighter because you want to brighten this area.

Instead of highlighting between your eyebrows try highlighting over the arches of your brows. Sometimes highlighting over between your eyebrows just makes it look like your T zone is shiny!

Know your eye shape! Knowing your eye shape can make all the difference in the world because you want to be able to make your eyes pop and well sometimes not knowing the ins and outs of our eyes we can make them look bad. You know what I'm talking about we have all since it.

To make your lips look fuller, place a shiny gloss in the middle of your lips!

Highlight your cupid's bow! This is the dip on your top lip if you didn't know

Try your best to always match your face to your neck!

Remember, a smile is the best thing you can put on your face!

Love you all and see you again soon!

Beauty Wednesday: Sigma Brushes

05 February 2014 1 comment
Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you're all having a great week. Mine of course is busy! We had Shampoo Day yesterday at the salon and are having another one tomorrow. Thankfully, I'm loving my cosmetolgy course. I will give a better update hopefully on Friday and if not then on Monday. As it is Wednesday I'm sure you're here for Beauty Wednesday! This week's topic is make up brushes! I have told you many times to wash your brushes on a regular basis so I hope you're all doing this! If you take care of your brushes, they will last longer even the ones you pick up at the local drug store!

Today, I'm not talking about the drug store brushes, I'm talking about my new Sigma brushes! When my mom asked me what I wanted from her for Christmas I honestly had no idea what I wanted! I didn't really need anything and well I couldn't even think of something I wanted until I watched another YouTube video and they talked about their Sigma make up brushes. I do have some nice brushes from Sephora and a couple from MAC but I really wanted to try the Sigma brushes. I decided that was going to be one of my Christmas gifts! And of course on Christmas morning I got the Essential Kit. They are the best brushes! I want every brush in the collection and one day I will have them all. There are a few of the brushes I would love to have a couple of because it is annoying to spot clean when changing colors and such. They are soft but not so soft they don't pick up the product or feel like they are not actually putting the product on your face. They wash really well and keep their shape when drying. One of my biggest pet peeves with brushes is when they loss hairs on your face! These brushes haven't lost a hair yet! If you haven't guessed yet I'm totally in love with these brushes. I really like them more than my other brushes even though those ones are great too. The essentials kit is perfect too, gives you all the brushes you basically need and for a good deal. It was around $150 for 12 brushes. I know some of you might be thinking that isn't a deal at all but for those who know it really is since one brush can be $50. I especially like the eye shadow brushes from Sigma, they pick up the product nicely and deposit well on the skin. I don't feel like I'm going back and forth a hundred times to get good color payoff.

To sum it up I love these brushes and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great set of brushes. I maybe wouldn't tell you to get them if you're not into make up and wanting really nice brushes but if you do these are the brushes to get! I promise you won't be disappointed!

Beauty Wednesday! Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette

29 January 2014 5 comments

Beauty Wednesday is back! I'm happy to bring it back too! I have been trying to balance school and my personal life lately and sadly school is beating my personal life down but I will do another post that at a later date because it is time to talk make up!

I know I'm a tad late with a review of the Naked 3 palette but better late than never right?

As soon as I saw this palette I knew I needed to have it. I loved all the colors and I hadn't even seen it person yet. Once having it in my hands I loved it even more! I had to wait for Christmas to get it though because honestly at the time I could justify spending the money that close to Christmas. On Christmas morning though I had it in my hands with my new Sigma brushes(review on them at a later date). I honestly do love all of the shades because I love the rose gold theme to the palette. I course have some favorites though which are Limit, Nooner, Factory and Blackheart. All amazing shades! Since I don't do make up tutorials (maybe someday) I have gotten you the one I went to when I first started playing with the palette and I have to say this is my go to look now when I'm heading to class and don't have lots of time to play around with my make up. This tutorial comes from Casey Holmes...you should totally check out all of her videos because she is amazing and I love all of her videos. I have to say I didn't have a hard time with the color Trick like Casey did (a lot of people were saying the same thing as Casey), I found I had good color pay off right away. The matte shades in the palette are great cease colors, Darkside and Blackheart are what I have been going to constantly for an outer corner color. But here is the tutorial from Casey....

Now, if you have Naked and Naked 2 you're probably thinking "do I really need Naked 3?" I can't say for sure that you would need Naked 3 but I would say it isn't like Naked and Naked 2, the shades have a different look and they really are more rose gold tones. I do not have Naked 2 but I love my orginal Naked palette and I think both Naked and Naked 3 are perfect palettes. I most often am reaching for one or the other.

Do you have the Naked 3 Palette? What are your thoughts? Let me know!

A Little Update....

19 January 2014 5 comments
Hello My Lovelies! Wow I can't believe it is the 19th of January! I have kind of disappeared and I'm sorry about that since I promised I wasn't going to! But, my life has gotten very busy since school started! A few things have come up too but I don't need to go into everything. This week is light on homework so I'm hoping to get some blogs done for you this week and hopefully schedule some for next week.

So, I'm loving school! I know it has only been two weeks but I'm really enjoying everything about it! I don't even really mind the homework! I also love the girls in my program! They are all really nice and we all seem to get along really well which is great because it could have been the total opposite. My instructors are pretty awesome too. Kathy the main instructor really knows her stuff, I'm excited to learn a lot from her. Tomorrow we are going to the local beauty supply shop to get our salon kits! I'm super excited because then it is really going to feel real! It is going to be like Christmas tomorrow at school when we are going through everything and opening all of our goodies! Yup, I'm super excited!

Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say Hell and let you know I'm still around! And I will hopefully be around more soon!

xoxo

This weekend....

02 December 2013 3 comments
Yes, don't have a heart attack but I'm back posting on a regular basis! WHOOP WHOOP! I know you are all loving that already! I haven't planned out what I will posting about this week yet but I do know I will be posting and that I have a GREAT guest post for you on Thursday. Be excited because it is awesome and she is awesome for doing it.

Anyways, lets get back to the weekend. I did have a great busy weekend, I hope all my American friends had a nice turkey dinner at some point. American Thanksgiving always makes me miss our Thanksgiving but I did have a nice chicken dinner on Tuesday so it wasn't too bad. On Friday, I had a crazy day. I was running around trying to clean, finish a couple of crafts and pack before I left for Halifax for the night. I actually did get everything done and had a bit of time to relax before I left. I would have gotten to relax but I got super exciting news. A few weeks ago I applied for Cosmetology school and on Friday I got my acceptance letter! It is going to be a bit of a crazy time for me since it is the Christmas season and now I have to get myself ready for school again! I'm totally excited for it but still a little nervous because I haven't been in school for a few years now! I think it is going to be awesome and thanks to everyone who I have already talked to about it and for your congrats. That news really made my day because I was a little worried the program was already filled. So YAY *happy dance* Once I got settled down and Erica got home we headed off to Halifax. There was Black Friday Sales at the Mic Mac Mall so we headed there first and we did get some good deals which was nice and the mall when we went wasn't too crazy busy. After that we headed into the city to drop Chase off at his place because he had a exam to finish studying for and we were meeting up with some friends for dinner. We met up with our friends at Montana's for dinner around 8pm and had a great meal with great company. I mentioned I was finishing up some crafts earlier and one of them was a scrapbooking album for one of the couples I was having dinner with so I wanted to give it to them when we were all together. They loved it which made me very happy because I loved making it for them and I knew they would appreciate it. I also gave my friend Deena a wreath for her belated birthday gift since I didn't have my act together when we had dinner together for our birthdays. After we parted ways from Montana's, Erica and myself headed to Target to see if we get in some last minute shopping for the day. We did pick up a few more Christmas gifts and then we grabbed some Starbucks and headed to the hotel. We passed out pretty quickly because we had long busy day.

Saturday was a day of shopping! But I got pretty much all of my Christmas shopping done so I don't have any complaints! Well one, people need to remember to take their brain with them shopping! Honestly some people need a slap! One man was hardly watching his toddler, he was on his phone and I'm sure the mother was off doing the shopping. After we finished shopping we picked Chase and headed for some dinner at Jack Astor's. After that long we drove home and I basically crashed! I guess I'm getting old when a full day of shopping makes me so tried haha

Sunday, I went to lunch with my friends for one of our friend's birthday. It was nice to catch up with the girls because I hadn't seen them in far too long. After lunch I really wasn't so productive for the rest of the day but what can you do. I did have a nap and I did sort my Christmas gifts and the laundry.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you again tomorrow :)

xoxo

Beauty Wednesday: Washing Your Make Up Brushes!!

06 November 2013 1 comment
Okay ladies, I know this has been addressed on blogs before but I decided to throw it up here too because still too many of us are not washing our make up brushes! It is not a hard task and seriously you need to clean your brushes! Sometimes I hear people complaining about breaking out randomly and I have to ask when is the last time you cleaned the brushes you use on your face most of the week? Oh never you say! Well maybe that is why your face is having an acne attack! But really we clean our clothes, our body, our face, clean the brushes!

Now, I know some of you are saying Brittany I will not buy brush cleaner because it costs too much! And amen to that but you don't have to! My secret cleaner though not really a secret is baby shampoo! You can use any mild cleaner it can even be dish soap! This means you don't have anymore excuses! It will only take you a few minutes too! I have quite a few brushes and it only takes me maybe 10 minutes to clean mine. So, just take a few minutes on a day maybe you're not going to be wearing any make up or do it after you have put on your make up for the day and clean your brushes!

Yuck! Dirty Brushes!!

Super Cleaner!

Wet your brush! Always keep your brush facing down so water can't get up into the handle and loosen the bristles.

Swoosh the brush around in the palm of your hand with some baby shampoo.

Rinse until the water is clear and repeat until your brushes are done!
I lay mine flat to dry. When they basically dry I just place them back in their holder.

YAY! Fresh and clean brushes!

I would suggest cleaning your brushes once a month or every other month if you're not gonna do it every month! I normally wash mine every 3 weeks since I do normally wear some make up everyday. The more you use them the more you should clean them and take care of them because if you do they will last longer.

Hope you're going to go and clean your brushes now!

Happy Wednesday!

Beauty Wednesday Favorite Hair Care

23 October 2013 No comments
And yes we are back to Beauty Wednesday! I know I have been doing drugstore products but I don't have many in the hair care area right now. I have a few holy grail products I don't tend to stray from. I'm not saying I don't use lots of drugstore brands but I just really have any I go back a lot. But lets get on with the products because I know that is what you're here for!

Bead Head Superstar - Queen for a Day Thickening Spray - I honestly use this everyday unless I'm sick and don't wash my hair! I have lots of hair but it is fine, so most products I use on my hair have the word thickening or volumizing in the title. I find this really does help make my hair look fuller. This product also smells amazing! Win Win on everything there! This product is around $15-$18 I do believe. I have found it from time to time at my local Winners for $10.

Big Sexy Hair - Spray and Play Harder - Hairspray - This is one of my favorite hair sprays because it can give you the firm hold you want or a more natural one depending on much you spray. I also don't mind the smell of this hair spray either. I mainly use this for when I have curled my hair because it holds my curls in for the majority of the day. I will use this when I need a little hold too to tame any stubborn hairs but normally I don't use much hair spray unless I have curled my hair. This spray is around $18-$20 but I have only bought it from Winners where I found it for $10.

Big Sexy Hair - Root Pump - Volumizing Mousse - When I want a little more volume then my thickening spray gives I will add in a little of this root boost. I find blowing my hair dry with a round brush and flipping my head over is the best way to get the most of this product. Smells good too! One of the things I love about the Big Sexy Hair products that they smell good! This is also around $18-$20 but again I get it at Winners for $10.

Marc Anthony - Dream Waves - Beach Spray - Sometimes you just don't want to put that much effort into your look and this is a good product for that. Spray in damp hair, scrunch and let dry! I also use this product to add texture to a messy ponytail or curls/waves.

Fekkai Advanced - Salon Technician Color Care - Shampoo and Conditioner - This is a total splurge I got myself back in the summer when I down in Maine. I didn't even splurge on the full size! I got the travel size and I have been randomly letting myself use it. This is the ONLY expensive shampoo and condtioner my hair likes. Yes, my fine hair really only enjoys CHEAP stuff which is great for me! But I love this stuff so much! Next time I make it down to the states shopping or Ulta finally opens shipping to Canada I will be getting myself full sizes of this! Smells amazing! It is expensive! I spent $10 on each bottle. Full size prices range from $25-$39.

I'm looking for a heat protector so if you have any you love! Leave me a comment so I can check it out!

Hope you all are liking this series! Next week we are going high end for some splurge items because we all love to splurge sometimes right?

Beauty Wednesday! Drugstore Make Up Edition!

25 September 2013 3 comments
Happy Wednesday My Beauties! I hope you're all have a great week! This week I'm continuing with my beauty Wednesday series. This week we are talking about drug store make up! We all know sometimes the drugstore brands are just as good as the high end brands. Heck they are sometimes made by the same companies! So here are some of my favorite make up products!

Face Products:
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and Concealer: I got these products on the recommendation from Tanya Burr and Zoella. These two are two of my favorite beauty gurus and they rave about these so I decided to pick them but and I love them! They go on smooth, have good coverage and don't feel cakey! What more could you ask for!?

Maybelline Dream Lumi Highlighting Concealer: I use this for under my eyes because it gives a nice highlight and nice under eye coverage.

Revlon Photo Ready Pressed Powder: This is my favorite powder because it gives a matte finish without being overly matte. I know I that sounds weird but I know some of you will get it!

Rimmel Bronzer: I honestly cannot tell you how many times I have repurchased this bronzer! I think I have been wearing it for over 10 years! I love the color pay off and how it isn't too shimmery! Because the older you get the less shimmery you should be.

Maybelline Great Last Clear Mascara: I use this for keeping my eye brows in place! I fill in my eye brows a bit and add this so they look good all day.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara: This was also bought because of Tanya Burr and I have to say I love it! Makes my lashes look great! I have long lashes anyways but this mascara makes them look even longer and fuller!

Almay Eyeshadows: I love the pre-packed trios that give you the look without having to think about it! Sometimes you want to play with your make up but sometimes you don't. You just want to slap it on and go! This makes that so easy! Good color pay off and gives a nice application!

Maybelline Color Whispers: Probably my favorite new product from the spring/summer. I love how you can go from a sheer color to buildable deeper shade. They go on smooth and don't dry out your lips.
Rimmel Kate Lipsticks: Great colors! I have 102 and 107. The darker red one I got because of Zoella and this is such a great shade I think everyone should go and check it out in store! These are rich and creamy. Goes on smooth and doesn't dry out your lips too bad especially if you put some lip balm on under them.
Eos Lip Balm: just a great balm, perfect for under lipsticks and just by itself :)

I hope everyone is enjoying this series! Next week I think we will be talking about face care :)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Beauty Favorites: Shower Edition! Drugstore Products

18 September 2013 5 comments
Hey Lovelies! Today I have new fun series for you! Well I hope it is fun anyways! I'm going to be showing you what my favorite products are. This week we are starting out with what I love in the shower from the drugstore! And here they are...

There is my shower caddy with all my favorite shower products! Now, lets talk about them!

  • Finesse Shampoo and Conditioner: Yes I love these because my hair pretty much hates expensive shampoo and conditioner. This probably isn't a bad thing because I can buy $2 stuff and it makes my hair look and feel great!
  • Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo: I have fine/thin hair so I find that product easily builds up on my hair so once a week I use this shampoo to take all that residue off my hair! I love the smell of this too! So clean!
  • Olay Body Wash: I recently picked this body wash up but I LOVE it mainly because it smells amazing! It also leaves me feeling clean and soft. I smelled the other scents and they are nice too! This is on sale at Walmart right now but I'm not sure for how long. It is $2.79 or something like that.
  • Neutrogena Acne control face wash: I use this with the Olay face scrubber. I might get the Mia someday but for right now I'm good with the one I have. I like this face wash because it is great for controlling any break outs I may have and I don't find it drying!
  • Gillette Venus Razor: It does it job and I like the handle of this razor. Also, I don't have a shaving cream in this photo because lately I have just been using a conditioner I didn't like for my hair!
  • Colgate Optic White Toothpaste: Yup I brush my teeth in the shower! This is just what I have right but I always have Colgate toothpaste
There you have it my shower favorites! What are some of your favorite products? I'm always looking for new things to try so let me know :)

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Current Beauty Favorites!

02 April 2013 4 comments
As you can tell from the title of this blog today we are going to be talking about beauty favorites! Since I love seeing what everyone else is loving I thought maybe you would maybe like what I have been loving! I probably won't be doing one a month of these because I don't normally try out that many new products each month but I will be doing them when I have some stuff I love and think that maybe you will love it too!! Anyways, lets get on with my current beauty favorites!

Firstly we have some face and eye products!

I'm going to start in the middle here with the Boi-ing! by Benefit, this is a concealer and it is amazing! Honestly you can't have something it doesn't hide! It is used to hide tattoos so there you go! This one is almost gone and I got it before Christmas I do believe so it lasts a good long time too! I'm in shade 02. I thought I would be 01 (lightest shade) but the rep from Benefit was at Sephora the day I was there and she helped me out with picking my shade. It covers well, lasts, it is not heavy so I'm totally loving this product and it could be a part of my holy grail products. It is pricey, it is $26 at Shoppers Drug Mart and Sephora. YAY for Shopper carrying Benefit!

Next up we will talk about Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch, this is a highlighting concealer. It does give some coverage which I like but it does really help brighten dark circles under your eyes and anywhere else you like to face highlight your face (down your nose, cupid bow etc.) It was on sale for $8 (walmart) I think when I picked it up this weekend, it is my second buying it and I'm sure I will buy it again!

Smashbox Bronzer time! This is just a sample size of the Bronze Lights in Suntan Matte from Smashbox, I got it in a Best Of Smashbox set when I cashed in some of my point at Sephora. This is a great bronzer! If you don't like any sparkle in your bronzer this one is for you! I'm more of an all over bronzer girl and don't really contour but I think this would be great for contouring too because as I have mentioned it does not have sparkle to it. Full size of this bronzer is $32.00 at Sephora, so it is on the expensive side but I have had this sample size going on 4 months now and I still have a lot of it! I do go back and forth between this and my MAC bronzer in Golden, but I would say this is a good pick if you're looking for a matte bronzer and want to treat yourself to something a little more high end.

And finally for this picture I have the Max Volume Lash Mascara in extreme black by Rimmel London. This is my new favorite mascara after Diorshow because I don't think I will ever find another mascara I like more than Diorshow! But this is close! The only thing I'm not super amped on about this mascara is that is it really wet! But I love the brush and I love how it goes on and make my lashes look great! Plus it is only like $9! Who doesn't love that!? My lovely Diorshow is more like $25! Hands down though this is my new favorite!

Lip Products! I should not be allowed to even look at lip products because I have so many now but I love them so much and with spring and summer coming they are coming out with so many fun colors and shades it is killing me not to buy everything in sight! These are three of my favorites right now!

We will start with Relvon's Lip Butter in Gumdrop! I really want a lavender lipstick and I figured this would be a good place to start because I knew with the Lip Butter it would not be too much, I have seen a couple at MAC and thought oh I love that but really where am I going to wear such a color! So, this was perfect! It has a little sparkle in it and it goes on like butter! Love it and it is around $7-8 at Walmart.

Onto Maybelline's Color Whispers! These are probably my most favorite products out right now! I love love love love love them! I have already bought 4 I think! This one is Pink Possibilities and it is such a nice pink for spring and summer! I also love that you can have a 'whisper' of color or really build up the color with this lip product. I do believe they are around $7-$8 too at Walmart!

Lastly, we have the Kate Line by Rimmel London! This color is 102 and it is so nice! Perfect pink/coral color for spring. I got it for Easter and I love it! I wore it to family dinner on Sunday. It is smooth, easy application which I love because some lip sticks are just too dry and you feel like you have to apply lip balm/gloss over top of them! These are not like that! Has a nice sheen to it but isn't overly glossy. I have been loving matte lipsticks lately too so this has just a bit more to it then a matter I find. I also think this is like $8 at WalMart.

Here are just some color swatches for you :) 102, Pink Possibilities, Gum Drop

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I'm loving right now! Yes, there is a lot more so maybe I will do another one of these blogs again soon! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and are having a great week! See you again tomorrow!
