Ramblings Thursday

Since I'm hoping to get a blog post up today I figured I should probably start writing one now because I have such blog block today! I don't know what is it about Thursday but come Thursday I'm trying to figure out what song I want for #backthatazzup Friday! Damn Whitney and her great party Friday link up! So, I'm sorry for that but I can't help it! I guess this is going to be a mash up of a bit of everything today, hence ramblings in the title!

Today, I'm trying to plan my outfits for my mini vacay away to PEI so I don't have to over pack but really who are we kidding! I'm often the queen of over packing even when I do plan every outfit! Why you ask because I think oh what if I spill something on myself I will need another shirt and maybe depending on where it lands another pair of pants or shorts! But this time I'm really going to try and just bring what I need! So just one extra shirt instead of three! Can't be crazy here I wasn't just going to take exactly what I needed! Haha I do need a two day outfits and a concert outfit! I think I have them planned but I think I should maybe take a pair of jeans too just in case it isn't as warm as they say! Maybe a little sweater too! Yup, look I'm already over packing and I'm only blogging about it! 

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this mini vacay! It is going to be a lot of fun because of the concert and I'm excited for the lobster dinner, beach, mini golf, boardwalk, a tad bit of shopping! Yup, it is going to be a great weekend :) 

Does anyone still watch MTV? I only watch for certain show now which I wish MTV Canada would get World of Jenks on! Seriously love that guy! But, lets go back to bad MTV shows! I found out today while watching Catfish (love that show) that MTV is coming out with another Challenge! Rivals II starts July 10th here and I'm sadly quite excited about this! I know I shouldn't be but I love most of these shows! Battle of the Seasons was crap because the picked new seasons and I don't care about those casts! I love seeing the older ones! Rivals II has CT teamed up with Wes which I think someone must have a sick sense of humor to do that but thank you for doing it! I love CT! I know he is the bad guy but look at him! So hot! haha I have loved him since his Real World season in Paris. Can't wait for this show to start! haha

Lastly in fangirl ramblings! Backstreet Boys followed me on Twitter last night and Pink Lou Lou followed me on Instagram! Yes, I know I'm 29 but we can still fan girl at this age okay!

It's Okay Thursday!

Well, I haven't done an It's Okay for a long time now so I figured I might as well this week! I have been rather busy this week so nice to chill out with an easy blog post today! Anyways, lets get on with it!

-that I CANNOT wait for summer! I'm over winter!

-that Songza is my best friend, 90s one hit wonders!

-that I'm so freaking excited to meet Kelly Purkey this weekend!!

-that I'm excited for a nice weekend away with my sissy!

-that I'm already excited for maybe a shopping roadtrip in May!

It's Okay Thursday!

-that I have watched Dog the Bounty Hunter everyday this week (skipped the ones Duane Lee wasn't in)

- I'm excited to be doing laundry today! I know but our washer was broken which makes for a pain in the bum! So glad it is working now!

-that Erica and myself watched Dance Moms last night and laughed at Christy and Kelly fighting! We are wondering if next season it will be Holly who leaves for a bit and comes back.

-I'm excited for the Oscars this weekend!

-I'm very excited for my Momma to be home from Hawaii on Saturday

-that I think it is awesome that someone I know is going to be on Big Brother Canada (Jillian M for anyone wondering now).

-that I'm done with that's okay for this week!

• I thought Criminal Minds was great this week but felt really bad for Spencer! Like he was an actually person!
• that I have been watching Dog the Bounty Hunter in the morning! I have a strange attraction to his son Duane Lee (yes I know I'm crazy!)
• that I have been listening to "Just A Fool" far too much
• that I spent the afternoon doing nothing my best friend and her family
• that I don't plan on doing too much tomorrow LOL
• that I'm amped I get to watch NHL hockey this weekend!
• that I don't think I will ever get over my addiction to Pinterest
• I'm so sleepy tonight I may go to bed soon! (it is 8:07pm right now)
• that I don't care about Lance Armstrong admitting he doped! It isn't a huge shock is it?
• that I'm addicted to watching YouTube videos (post to come on that)

It's Okay Thursday

Today, I'm linking up with Amber and Neely for It's Okay Thursday! We are getting so close to Christmas now! I love it, I love everything about Christmas! The family time, food, drinks, friends, presents (giving and getting), decorations, EVERYTHING! Christmas has been and I think will always be a special time of year for my family. We all have fond memories and love the whole season. When you're young you love the day and luckily once you get older you can love the whole season and enjoy everything everything leading up to the day and even the after. Who doesn't love relaxing on Boxing Day or the day after!? One of my favorite times for relaxing on the couch! I hope you're all ready for Christmas holidays! If you have more to do I hope you get it done quickly and enjoy everything you can :) Now onto the link up!

-that I'm totally not stressing over anything about Christmas because I'm totes ahead of the game this year on most stuff

Since I accidentally managed to write more than I intended to in my last two updates, I thought this would be a great week to take a little detour and incorporate some fashion fun into my corner of the blog.

Earlier this week, the annual Met Gala took place in New York City, and, as always, the stars came out for what many have dubbed the East Coast’s version of the Oscars. With this year’s theme paying tribute to the extraordinary Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, the fashions ranged from traditional to avant-garde…and even to hot mess. Below are my five most memorable looks of the evening.

Keep in mind I said “most memorable,” not “the best.”

1.    Anna Wintour smartly (and chicly) stuck to the theme of the evening by wearing a Prada gown inspired by Schiaparelli’s infamous lobster dress of the 1930’.

2.    Sarah Jessica Parker looked as though she took inspiration from Scarlett O’Hara and pulled down her grandmother’s curtains in order to fashion her evening ensemble. In reality, her look was courtesy of Valentino.

3.    Supermodel Karolina Kurkova channeled her inner Daisy Buchanan in a slinky gown and turban with a 1920’s feel, designed by Rachel Zoe.

4.    Also taking inspiration from The Great Gatsby? Actress Camilla Belle (is she still acting? I can’t recall…no shade though!), who wowed in this Ralph Lauren sheath.

5.    Finally, what can be said for Lauren Santo Domingo’s daring look? It may be Oscar de la Renta, but to the mainstream fashion critics, it looks a bit more like a mother of the bride suit circa 1983 crossed with the extravagance of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Oh, Ms. Santo Domingo, you’re an editor at Vogue…you should know better.
