Just a dash of sunshine...

Friday! Ready for the weekend baby! Whoop Whoop! You would think I had something fun planned because of my excitement but nope just happy it is the weekend. Hope you all had a great week! A week ago I think the lovely Laura from Mice in the Kitchen emailed me to tell me she nominated me for a Sunshine Award! How sweet she is she? I always feel so touched and honored when I get nominated for anything! Thank You so much Laura! Everyone go and check her out! You can find her here!

Here are my answers to Laura's questions for me...
1. What would be your perfect day?

My perfect day would consist of laying on beach for the day and then having a nap and going out for a lovely dinner with family and friends. 

2. Favorite memory growing up?

Probably any and all Christmas' in my childhood! Mom and Dad always made sure they were perfect. I have so many favorite memories from my Christmas' as a kid I don't think I pick just one.

3. What motivates you?

This is kind of a hard question. My want for certain things motivates me, different people and stories motivate me to be better. 

4. If you could have one dream come true what would it be? 
Oh gosh, I would love to have my dream of being a travel journalist come true! Or having mega success with my new life path! (more on what that is later)

5. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I love to write. I started back on LiveJournal and when I moved to blogger I think I started and deleted about 5 blogs because they just ended up feeling like work. I'm happy this blog as stuck finally because I do love being able to write whatever I want, whenever I want.

6. If you could live anywhere...where would it be and why?
I think I would live in New York because it is my favorite city! 

7. If there was only one thing on your Christmas list you could get what is it?
One thing huh! Probably my Erin Condren planner because I can't live without it now!

8. Are you a dog person or a cat person? Why?
Dog person! I do like some cats but I have only had dog expect for the one cat we had when I was baby. I love dogs because the ones I have had are amazing! 

9. What is your worse fear?
Having something happen to my family or friends. 

10. You found a bottle with a gene and you got three wishes what would they be...and no wishing for more wishes!!

1.Travel the world!
2.Have enough money to be a lady of leisure and have my family the same way.
3. To have perfect hair everyday haha

What Inspires Your Blog Posts?

Hello My Lovelies!

I was reading through Helene’s blog the other day and saw that she was having a one-day link up about what inspires your blog. When I saw this I thought well I think I will do this next week! Then, came the hard part, writing this post! One would think it would basically write itself since it is suppose to be what inspires your blog! But alas it did not write itself so I’m sitting here trying to figure out what I want to say and how I want to say it.  I think I’m having a harder time writing this because I always just want my blog to fun, so my stuff is fluffier often, which is okay with me. When I need to get serious or more emotional I do it, like with my breakdown last week about Talia and Cory. I think you’re blog should be whatever you want it to be. No one should tell you how your blog should be. If you’re happy with it then that is all that matters!

Okay, hmmm….I think what inspires me most for my blog is just that I like writing and having fun. I like knowing that I can go back and relive a moment because I blogged about it! Pictures are posted and moments are written down. It is there forever to remember. If you forget that detail about that one weekend you know you can call up your Weekend Updates and know yes that is what really happened that weekend that is why we laughed so hard. I get different inspirations from everywhere and everyday!  I think of myself as a rather creative person with a creative mind. I try to draw my inspirations from as many different places as I can. There are different bloggers who inspire me to be a better blogger! PinkLouLou is who bought me back into blogging. I had many failed blogs before this one and for whatever reason this one has stuck. I started reading PinkLouLou and decided to get back in the game. It is bloggers like her who juggle work, personal life and blogging, that inspire me to keep blogging.  I always had the problem that when I got busy the first thing to go was the blog because who is reading it anyways! Now, though not a big following I know someone is reading it, which makes me feel good and keeps me going.  There are of course the regular inspirations such as music, books, movies, other blogs, random Hollywood news and such but it is nice getting random inspiration. I once wrote a blog about different scrapbooking pages I have seen.

I think I have turned this post into something more than I thought it was going to be! I hope you enjoyed it and maybe got some inspiration out of it. Remember you can find inspiration everywhere, in the smallest idea/thought/action you can often find the most wonderful things.

The Christmas Edition

Dear Blogger Friends, thanks for your friendship and readership. I never thought I would get into blog like have and really be enjoying it. You're all amazing people who have a lot to give to this world and I know you will all do great things.

Dear Mother Nature, I know I mainly complain about snow but I wouldn't mind if you could give us some for Christmas. Thank You!

Getting to know you....

It is once again time for Sunday Social! This week Neely and Ashley have a set of questions about getting to know your blog better! So lets go....

What is your blog name and how did you come up with it? As you can see my blog name is A Coffee Break with Brittany and I came up with it because I was actually have a coffee break when I was trying to figure out my blog name and it is came together for me.

What do you love most about blogging? I love the friends that you make with blogging and just being able to say whatever you need to say and know you're gonna get support when you need it, a kick in the pants when you need it etc. Bloggers friends are awesome.

What are two favorite posts you have written? I have to say I don't know with this one. I love all my baking/cooking posts because those are the ones I'm most proud because of what I had accomplished in the kitchen.

What is something you would want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world? Just keep doing your thing! Post what you want post and don't let anyone else change you because you think you should doing something else on your blog because everyone else is doing it. If you want moan and complain do it! If you want to just post pictures do it! It is your blog!

Biggest blogging learning experience you've had? I think it would be figuring out what I wanted my blog to be. I wanted something fun and easy not something that felt like work because I have done that before and my blog lasted maybe a week and I didn't want that to happen again!

Shout Out Saturday

Cait over at Fit Fierce and Fabulous is going a link up today of Shout Out Saturday! This is to give props to our follow bloggers who just have great blogs! I had to think about this so I just didn't list all the blogs I read because I love all of them! So, here is my top list of blogs I love in no particular order.

 

Pink Lou Lou! Probably my favorite blog around because she is so fun and I love her product reviews because it is normally stuff I would actually consider buying myself. She is a super sweetie too with the best hair! I wish I could do my hair like hers! I could easily be BFs with her!

Dear Lizzy! This blog has been on daily reads for a long time now and I love everything Lizzy blogs about! I want to be her because she seems to have the life I would love to be living not that I don't love mine! Her family is adorable and I love her creativity! Lizzy is another one I could easily see myself being BFs with :)

 

A Pretty Life in the Suburbs! Jo-Anna has amazing knack for decorating, baking, cooking, crafts pretty much everything and I love her blog because I get so many amazing ideas from her blog! I'm making her classic meatloaf on Monday! I will be sure to let you know how it turns out :)

 

 The Small Things Blog! Kate has the BEST hair tutorials, no I haven't tried any yet but I love watching them and pretending like my hair is going to turn out just as good as if she did it herself! Which I would love to have her actually do my hair! Kate also has great product reviews, hair FAQs, make up tutorials and all that good jazz. She is a sweetie too! She has amazing hair too! Yes I have a thing for nice hair!
